I purchased this product on March 20th. On April 22nd, after a month of moderate use weighing items of 2-15 lb, it went dead, and did not revive with fresh batteries. My order summary says that “the window for returns has closed.” I was a bit surprised that there appears to be no mechanism for returning a defective product.
About a week after posting my original review, the manufacturer emailed me and offered to replace the balance. Another week later, the replacement arrived, in perfect working order. I haven??t tested it extensively because I had replaced it with a different model in the meantime.
One of the stars was lost for the break-down; the other, for the slow replacement, which is, at least partially, the responsibility of Amazon.

Is the scale waterproof
Answer: It is not waterproof.
How accurate is this unit? My Etekcity show 2-3 lbs lighter. I have both
Answer: How accurate is the Etekcity? Locate an item in your household with a known GROSS weight, not NET weight. Use each scale to weigh the item. A gallon of water weighs 8.345 pounds NOT INCLUDING THE CONTAINER. Possibly Check each scale against the scales at the grocery. My scale matches the scales used by several airlines.
Have an issue with my scale, when i turned it on it was saying unit. then i selected lbs and it worked. but now it makes me do it every time. tips?
Answer: You must select the unit of measurement each time the scale is activated.
How do you hook the fish?
Answer:
Well that depends on what type of fish you’re talking about and if it’s a saltwater or freshwater fish. For freshwater for Bass 90% of the ones I’ve caught have been on rubber worms, mostly from Culprit Brand, the others from live bait. For Catfish you can’t beat fresh dead minnows or shiners.
