Now, I like KastKing products. I have a number of their reels & a great telescopic rod, as well as a few tools. Out of everything I’ve purchased from them I’ve only gotten 2 duds: A set of pliers that broke on the first use, and this reel spooler.

It’s needlessly complicated. It didn’t fit any of my medium to medium-light rods unless I hugged the reel right up against the spooler. It did fit one medium-heavy rod, so I used that for all the reels I tried to spool with this. Every single time (using it with a Kastking Brutus spincast, a Kastking summer spinning reel, and a Kastking Royale Legend II – no, I don’t only buy KK products, these are just the ones I needed to change the line on) I tried it the line got tangled around the device and spool, the tension bands came off and tangled everything… it’s just a headache. You’re better off sticking a pencil through your spool and sitting with it down between your feet to add tension. That’s a hell of a lot simpler and more cost-effective. This thing was terrible.

How is it possible this lays the line flat on spinning reels?
Answer: If you use the spooler in the spin cast configuration the line will be coming from the top of spool, strait toward the reel.

The photo shows configuration for Spinning Reels.

For Casting Reels the spool is on the side of the Spooler, not the front.

Can this be ised with large spools?
Answer: Yes, it can hold most sizes.

None of my med, med-light rods can get the radius spooler to attach securely as the rods are too thin. is there a workaround for this?
Answer: I would use something like the gripping shelf/draw liner and wrapped it around the rod where you want to attach the spooler.

I would try contacting KastKing also about this. they may have a smaller model, or inserts maybe.

Do they sell extra tension band
Answer: It comes with two, other than that I??m not sure.
