I am a forester so I spend a lot if time in the woods hiking in various terrain and wetlands so having the right footwear is extremely important. Lacrosse Grange is my go to boot for hiking around. This is my 5th pair and I am fiercely loyal to this brand. Yes, if you wear them every 8 hours a day they will wear out eventually. I must say I wear the tread off of them before they have a hole poked in them. To me, that’s all you can ask of a rubber boot. I wear them all summer even in dry conditions because they are that comfortable and lightweight. I am a woman who wears 9.5 in womens boots but the, 7 in mens, fits great. I have thick calves and these are snug but with still enough room to tuck my pants in. I wear these with my pants tucked in to keep the ticks out. They work great for that! My calves are a bit short for the 18″ but I roll down the top two inches and they still fit great. I have never found a more comfortable uninsulated rubber boot and I can’t say enough good things about this boot. As woman I never found a ladies rubber boot that even comes close for hiking around. Most of the time ladies rubber boots are floppy and loose around the ankle. These are very snug around the ankle and give a minimal amount of ankle support. They can be a bit hard to take off especially if your feet are a bit sweaty. I see this as a small price to pay for being so snug around the ankle. If you are a person who has a hard time bending over this could present a problem for you. The only small con is that they offer little arch support. I usually use a good Dr. Scholl’s insert and it offers the arch support I need. I wear these all spring, summer and into the fall until it’s too cold to wear (I’m in MN). I usually wear a medium to light wool sock and my feet stay pretty comfortable even in the hottest of weather. I highly recommend these boots! Get them you will not regret it!

I have always loved lacrosse boots!!! These are to small in that ankle amd the calf area is too small I have big calves and they will not fit without a total workout to get them on and then can??t wear them about 30 min and then hard to remove if the boots had bigger ankle area and the upper boot was bigger around they would be great I had alpha burly for years loved them but these are for thin skinny folks if you have big calves don??t buy these

Customer Questions & Answers

Do they fit true to size?
Answer:

I wear size 11.5 W in most walking shoes/sneakers, and the size 11 boots fits me correctly (even width-wise) with standard Under Armour athletic socks. There is ample toe room, too. I tried the size 12 with Prime Wardrobe, and it was too loose in the foot area. Of course, with any hunting boot, the thickness of soc??

Are the interiors lined with canvas mesh like Lacrosse’s irrigation boots?
Answer: They do not have a canvas liner. I??m not real sure what a canvas mesh is, but these boots have a thin smooth fabric liner. Almost like spandex or something like that but thin.

I have tender feet, don’t want to feel rocks etc, how stiff are the soles, very stiff, fairly stiff and supporting, or crappy soft?
Answer: They are fairly stiff and supporting. Not so stiff that they don’t have any flex, but not so soft that you feel like you are walking in soft sole shoes. I have worn them for years and haven’t found a more comfortable all around rubber boot.
