Can this be used for a crossbow?
Answer: I don??t suggest using it for a cross bow. My bow shoots bolts at about 100 fps with approximately 130 pounds of kinetic force. At 50 yards the bolts went through and shattered hitting the concrete wall behind it. At $5 a bolt. Losing 3 was plenty.
How much penetration is there. I want to put it on my fence without damaging the fence.
Answer: I would mount it on some plywood before hanging it on a fence- it is a better target than it is a bolt-stopper.
How many layer would i need for a mathews vxr 28 345 fps 65lb draw?
Answer: I have a recurve 35 lb draw weight, and shoot from about 80 ft. My arrows go through it.
You might need a thicker one depending on how far away you??re shooting.
