Top Positive Review

Just got it today, its about as big as my Rinehart pig target, a little shorter than most 3D deer targets. The body is solid and it has a removable insert. The head has some blemish spots (See Photos). The arrows pulled out easily as expected. For a portable target my favorite is the Morrell block. But for any 3D targets my favorite is Rinehart, they are solid and built to last. The price point for this in my opinion is very good. I am taking away one star because of the blemish and the paint could be better. All in all I would buy it again.

Top Critical Review

First the target looks great. It freaks me out whenever I come home from work and see it behind my bushes. The issues are as follows:

If you hit the self healing foam life is good. Extraction is super easy, way easier than my Cabela’s target. BUT, if you mess up a shot and it hits the body somewhere god help you. I miss about 1% of the time and have to go and stand on it and violently torque my arrow just to get it to start moving, then it will come out. I’ve got a small tear from the neck just from this issue. It will really affect longetivity.

It’s not all that removable, the rebar mount method is pretty good, but is kind of a pain getting everything to line up. Some kind of flared entrance to the rebar containment tube would help quite a bit. Sleeves fit a little loose, but makes install easier. Rebar could stand to be about 6 inches longer to provide better mount, but my soil is pretty soft at installation spot.

Customer Questions & Answers

how high is this at the top of the shoulder?
Answer: It’s only like 31″ to the shoulder, and it adds up to about 38″ with antlers.

Will this target work with a crossbow?
Answer: It should work. This target is pretty rigid and my arrows hardly ever go past mid point of the target.

How do you mount it? Is a stand included?
Answer: It comes with two small poles that you pound halfway into the ground. The poles slide into tubes that are inside the targets legs. No stand included, just the poles.
