If you’re new to archery I would recommend the same brand but the longer guard. I’ve attached pictures of my first time bruise! You will definitely want one of these and for the price and quality, this is a good brand. Plus they make a longer version as well which I fully intend on purchasing as well. Once I figured out mine was in the wrong place (you want it higher up on your arm closer to your elbow) and don’t hold you arm straight out!

This arm pad gets the job done but is a bit on the bulky side. The snap locks are rather big and oddly located. May feel bunched up between your elbow and wrist if you have smaller forearms.

Are there rigid stays(rods) in the arm guard or just foam padding?
Answer: There are no rods in this arm guard.

The description says it’s a youth size. Will this fit a grown man’s arm?
Answer: It will fit around a grown person’s arm, however, it would provide minimal coverage.

Okay if you’re more than a novice and don’t require maximum protection.

Hi! how stiff is this? i’m looking for forearm protection while playing guitar that has a sharp edge so i need some flexibility. thanks!
Answer: I don’t know much about guitars, but the guard is stiff in length, but can be shaped to fit your forearm width.

Did this just fall apart for anyone else the first time out of the box? Just trying to confirm if they??re all junk or just mine.
Answer: This is a 12 dollar arm guard. You get what you pay for. Even so, I purchased 6 for a youth summer camp. That was 3 years ago. All are in great shape. They see 3 hours of constant use on different arms every day for a week. They are put on by youth who have very limited experience yet they have held up well.
