I ordered this for a stand that my son and I could use to hunt this season. It was a little difficult to get stood up, so be sure to have some help, but, once I had it up and pulled the jaws tight onto the tree, it was already more secure than I’d have thought it could’ve been. After climbing up and attaching the ratchet straps, this turned out to be an amazingly stable setup. The mesh style seat also off one of the most comfortable seating setups I’ve ever been in. No problem being able to set in this stand hours on end waiting for the right deer to come and visit with us. Great product.

Top Critical Review

If you would like a stand that is expensive and cannot stand up to elements for less than a year I recommend this stand. Not only will you not receive call back or support from sportsman guide, they will give you wrong email address to reach out to manufacturer with. Multiple attempts to get corrected since May and still not resolved.

Are the seats removable or is there replacements in animals or the weather ruin them?
Answer: The seats are not removable. I am unaware of replacement parts. I haven??t had any problems with critters or weather for the past 2 years it has been in the woods. I would contact the manufacturer to ask if they have replacement parts for this model.

Can sections of the ladder not be installed to make it shorter?
Answer: I think you could, but with the clamps that attached to the tree, also attach to the ladder..

Is the stand 18?? to the shooting rail or to the platform?
Answer: X-stands website says 18′ to shooting rail.
